Insulin delivery stopped at some point last night or early this morning. On a whim, I check my BG at 3:00am. It was over 200, but not the 250 everyone warns about. (My meals were a little odd in content and timing, so I wasn't terribly worried.) I took a correction dose and tested 3 hours later just before 6:00am. It was 251: another correction dose. (I really didn't want to change infusion sets.) Checked BG at 8:00am...still above 250. I knew something wasn't right. I took an injection of Novolog and changed infusion sets. Two hours later: 108. Back to normal.

I was afraid that being that high would screw with my BG all day, but so far I think we're back to normal. I hope it stays that way.

I guess everyone has to have those situations and be able to deal with them. Maybe I had hoped my would come after one and a half weeks of pumping.

Tonight, I'm going to a community college performance of a play about Edgar Allan Poe: Poe's Midnight Dreary. It's not actually a Poe play, but a play about him that includes some excerpts of his plays. I'm not 100% familiar with his work, so I hope I can follow along.

Sunday is the long day; I hope I survive. Up at 6:15am to be at church at 7:40 or so. Worship service at 8:45, then another one at 11:00. Church council meeting right after that until 4:00ish. From there I'll head to Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church for my ordination service that will begin at 6:30pm. After the service there'll be a reception, which will be very nice. Assuming I leave at about 8:30, I should be home by 10:00pm. It appears that the slowest part of that day will be the drive to and from Atlanta.

Well...I'm going to the bank and the drug store.

Have an enjoyable weekend!
