I woke up to some nasty weather. You'll see one pic I took with my Logitech WebCam this morning. (My digicam is at church.) When I took my computer outside and brought it back in, the screen went completely white. I was not expecting that.
I spent most of yesterday doing menial tasks around the apartment and around Griffin. I cleaned the apartment, paid all of my bills, dropped stuff in the mail and did laundry. I should have waited and done that today since it looks like I won't be going anywhere today.
Insulin pump update: I've completed the orientation CD-ROM that came with my Medtronic Minimed Paradigm 515 pump. My orientation wont' be until 2/14/05 though. It's kind of frustrating to have to wait two and a half weeks to get that thing going, but I don't really have much control of the situation.
I do think that the pump will give me both greater flexibility and control. I'm looking forward to having that working.
I'm wondering about church tomorrow. Will we have it? I'm not sure our procedures for that. I guess we'll "play it by ear."
American Idol update: Check out this article from AP. You may remember this guy from American Idol last week.
'Idol' Contestant Wells in Jail
MOBILE, Ala. — One of the contestants on the new season of "American Idol" was in jail when his bizarre performance aired Tuesday night.
Leroy Wells' audition for the Fox television talent competition was taped last summer in New Orleans. He bounced onstage while talking about sandblasting paint for a living at a shipyard near his home near Mobile.
"American Idol" judge Randy Jackson told Wells: "Dog, you ain't right for this, man, but listen, we love you."
A stunned Simon Cowell called the performance "ridiculous."
Wells, 22, of Grand Bay, was arrested Jan. 5 on charges of assault and firing a weapon. Jail records show he's also awaiting trial on drug charges and has pleaded guilty to marijuana possession in 2004 and disorderly conduct in June 2003.

A few updates since the last post (in chronological order)...
I graduated with my Master of Church Music from Samford in May.
I became the Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Griffin, Georgia. (It's a great place to be!)
I got a new car.
I got a TiVo.
I am in the process of becoming a "pumper." You know...I'll be using an insulin pump. I'm really looking forward to that happening.
I'm going to be ordained at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist on February 27. That will certainly be a memorable experience.
Fridays are my day off from work at the church. I think I may go with some friends to see a movie or something. Any suggestions?
Well...I hope it will be fewer than 18 months before my next post. Someone'll have to keep me honest.
Until next time...
