It's been another busy week, but it has been topped of with a week of birthday celebrations!!!

Monday, the Saints Alive Choir gave me a nice card and gift. Tuesday in staff meeting, I had a delicious chocolate cake. Wednesday, I got kidded about being young and the Sanctuary Choir gave me a card and a gift certificate. Today, I had a lovely gift at my door, a nice lunch with friends. I'm going to some other folks' house to watch the Apprentice and eat some cake. Tomorrow, I'm going to have lunch with the Min of Ed and his wife. Then on Saturday, Mom, Dad, Robbie, and Ricky are coming to Griffin to hang out and have dinner.

Other than birthday-related events, there's been other stuff going on too! I got some new contacts today--a new prescription and a new kind of contact. I can see better, but can't tell much difference in the way they feel.

Sunday night, there's a party for the 8:45 contemporary worship band, crew and families. That'll be fun. I just remembered I'm in charge of paper products and I haven't gotten those yet.

I've been working diligently for a wedding that I'm playing cello for on Saturday. It's an 11:00am wedding, which I've never heard of before, but I just heard today that that used to be the most formal time to have a wedding. Hmmm.

I've also been practicing for the piano ensemble concert that we're having at church on May 18. That will be six pianists on 3 pianos. It'll be lots of fun, but I'm not learning all the music as fast as I would like.

Last night's American Idol was a little surprising, but not at all disappointing. I'm not very sad that Anwar (or whatever his name was) left. He was a good singer, just not the best showman. There are better singers and showpeople in the competition. What do y'all think about that???

Well...I'm off to watch a little of MC (Marty Channel, aka TiVo) and then head to praise band practice and then to watch the Apprentice.
